Community Education

Hope Harbor's Education Program had a record breaking school year, reaching over 17,000 participants throughout the Barren River Area Development District. Hope Harbor's Educaiton Program provides age-appropriate education programs to individuls in our communities, to reduce the risk of sexual abuse and sexual assault.

This progam is primarily funded through United Way of Southern Kentucky, which provides over 65% of the proram's budget. Thanks to funding from United Way and the Rape Prevention Educaiton (R.P.E.) Grant, Hope Harbor is able to offer most programs at no cost to the communitites it serves. Every year, more and more groups, schools, and organizations request educaitonal programs from Hope Harbor to meet the ever growing safety needs of our population. If you have ever not taken advantage of our programs, we invite you to take a futher look into this website to find out the mant eduactional resources available to your group. If you have requested programs in the past, we invite you to do so again! Remember, safety concepts are best learned when participants are exposed to them repeatedly.
