You're in Charge is a 60 minute bullying prevention program focusing on sexual harassment. It takes a hands-on approach to creating assertiveness skills in children to help them identify and respond to incidences of harassment. Participants will have basic understanding of personal boundaries and rights;they will have the knowledge that it's appropriate to insist upon having their own boundsries respected.

 

Hope Harbor will work with the schools andministration in effectively addressing reports and incidences of sexual harassment in schools.

 

 

Getting Love Right (9th - 12th Grade)

 

Getting Love Right is a 60-to-90 minute program designed to meeting the growing need for adolescents to develop healthy violence-free relationships. It takes a hands-on approach for creating assertiveness skills in adolescents, as they are confronted with the issues of violences in relationships,including learning the forms of dating violence - emotional, physical, and sexual. Practical tips for reducing the risk of violence and where to go for help if sexually assaulted are issues clearly discussed.

 

All participants receive valuable follow-up information.

 

 

Building Healthy Relationship(6th - 12th Grade)

 

Building Healthy Relationships is a five session Sexual Harassment and Relationship Skills Curriculum. The structure of the program centers upon a student's ability to differentiate between sexual harassment and mutual respect, ugutilize effective communication and negotiation skills to prevent and resolve conflicts, and ultinately to recognize the components of a healthy relationship.

 

Students develop teamwork and leadership skills throught working together in smalls groups.hThis creates opportunities for students to practice with their peers the interactive skills they are exposed to.t working together in smalls groups.
